From Harrogate—Prince of Wales roundabout A61 Leeds Road with West Park (one way in to town)—at this roundabout follow Otley Road . Straight road out to Beckwithshaw past pubs Shepherds Dog, New Inn and the Pine Marten or for the non alcohol lovers, go straight past the junction to Harlow Carr RHS Gardens. Road goes straight to Beckwithshaw where you come to a mini roundabout turn left toward Otley. 50 yards on the left—almost opposite the The Smiths Arms pub is a small lane behind the village hall and the car parking.

From Leeds come down A61 to above roundabout and turn left and as above.

From Ripon A61—Killinghall turn right on to the Otley Road. Follow thisto A59 straight over the Travellers Rest (pub) roundabout goes straight in to Beckwithshaw if you are patient enough to follow it.

From Bradford/Otley A658 area. After Poole bridge turn left on to B6161 goes straight (well windy way) to Beckwithshaw. Be careful in the winter gets standing water or icy depending on conditions. In fine weather this road is used often by bikers of varying experience and ability, or there can be horses or agricultural vehicles. Sunday drivers love this road so leave plenty of time to get here. If you are early don’t worry it is a beautiful place and there is a pub less than 50 metres away. Foods good to—so you could make a day of it.
